Songpot · Amsterdam Dance Event 2026

Expect Detroit-rooted techno and house with a pop writer's sense of hooks and pacing. Under Audion he goes harder and more stripped-down; under his own name the records move between clipped drums, rubbery bass, and dry, melodic vocals.

More about Matthew Dear

He co-founded Ghostly International and Spectral Sound, and helped define Spectral's leftfield techno/house lane from the early 2000s. His 2017 DJ-Kicks for !K7 and the Audion releases place him squarely in the crossover zone between club records and experimental pop.
