Matoba
Rotterdam DJ and producer for disco-house floors
Based in Rotterdam, Netherlands · From Netherlands
He leans into rolling house tempos, disco edits, and funk-sampled grooves rather than hard peaks. The set likely runs on soulful vocals, chunky basslines, and afro-tropical percussion, with familiar records worked into a loose, party-minded flow.
More about Matoba
Matóba is Martijn Bal from the Netherlands, and his SoundCloud bio frames him as a Rotterdam DJ and producer. He sits in the current Dutch disco-house lane that treats old records as source material rather than nostalgia, and his 2024 ADE warehouse set shows he’s already playing the festival circuit.
