This is classic Chicago house: piano-forward, vocal, and built around simple, durable hooks rather than dense arrangement. 'Move Your Body' and 'The House Music Anthem' place him in the lineage of big-room house records that still carry a live, communal lift.

More about Marshall Jefferson

Marshall Jefferson comes straight out of the mid-1980s Chicago house scene, with Trax and Virgo on the CV and Ron Hardy playing his early tracks at the Music Box. He sits in the founding generation alongside Frankie Knuckles, Steve 'Silk' Hurley, Lil Louis and Roy Davis Jr., and his records remain reference points for house history.

A story

He first got into producing after a friend needed a ride to Guitar Center, where a salesman pointed him toward a Yamaha QX1 sequencer. In their own words
