Luke Slater
Veteran UK techno DJ and producer
From Reading, England · Plays most in Berlin, Amsterdam, London
Slater’s techno is built from muscular analogue synthesis, dry drum pressure and hard-edged sequences. Under aliases like Planetary Assault Systems and The 7th Plain, he moves between direct warehouse techno and more spacious, dubby or ambient-leaning material.
More about Luke Slater
He’s one of the foundational British techno figures, active since the early 1990s and still running multiple aliases from his own site. Planetary Assault Systems is the hard-sounding, forward-driving branch; LSD with Steve Bicknell and David Sumner is the collaborative project that links him to a broader UK techno lineage.
A story
Before full-time music, he worked in record shops including Brighton’s Jelly Jam. In their own words
