Born in West Berlin in 1986, with Ugandan and Dutch family roots, Karama works as a conceptual artist in Rotterdam. She initiated The Nature of Remembering with historian Megan Hoetger, framing the exhibition around remembrance, colonial afterlives, and environmental relations.

She also works as a Program Officer at the Interledger Foundation, overseeing arts and culture grants and a fellowship initiative. In their own words
