Songpot · Amsterdam Dance Event 2026

His festival bio already gives the shape: raw, loopy, sample-based, medium-tempo club music with distorted drums, plus Detroit, Chicago, cosmic disco and afrobeat references. Expect a set that can sit in the pocket for a long stretch, with dusty drums, chopped vocals, and a leftfield house feel rather than clean peak-time gloss.

More about John Talabot

Talabot came up in Barcelona and broke through with 'My Old School' on Permanent Vacation and 'Sunshine' on his own Hivern Discs label. Resident Advisor lists him as based in Spain and notes aliases including Talaboman with Axel Boman; his SoundCloud also hosts DJ sets and the Hivern Discs playlist, which fits his role as both selector and label figure. A story

For 'Music for Empty Stadiums', he says he blasted music in the empty Hivern Discs office to cope with the void. In their own words
