Songpot · Amsterdam Dance Event 2026

He plays the rooted, bass-led side of house: warm chords, swung drums, and a lot of soul and funk in the phrasing. The festival bio points to Latin, jazz, funk, hip-hop and soul in the mix, so this should sit in that classic-but-not-stale pocket.

More about Hector Moralez

Moralez comes out of Oakland and cut his teeth at Primal Records at 17, which the label bio says led to a production partnership with Phil Weeks as Fries & Bridges. He later launched Minority Music and then The Factory, and his current showcase slot is with DJ International Records, the Chicago house institution founded by Rocky Jones in 1985.
