Gomes

Dutch garage and grime selector, Oi! founder

Based in Amsterdam, Netherlands · From Netherlands

UK garageGrimeDubstepDrum & bass

Tight, fast, dancefloor-first DJing built from UK garage into darker 140 territory. The ADE programme places him in a grime history session, which fits his Oi! era: garage swing, dubstep weight, and grime pressure rather than polished club-house smoothness.

More about Gomes

The festival bio says Gomes was an early force behind UK garage in Holland, resident at Speedfreax and founder of Oi! at Paradiso in 2004, where the night grew into one of the leading dubstep and grime brands in the country. Oi! Recordings' own posts tie him to the Dutch dubstep/garage crossover and to festival appearances like Mysteryland and ADE, so he sits in the Amsterdam underground that helped localise grime and dubstep for Dutch crowds.
