Gabrielle Kwarteng
New York DJ threading house, disco and broken beats
From New York, United States · Plays most in Amsterdam, Berlin, New York City
Her sets move through 80s and 90s New York house, disco edits, broken rhythms and an acid thread. She can stretch a room without losing momentum, so this will likely be a long-form club set with plenty of swing and late-night turn.
More about Gabrielle Kwarteng
RA and Liaison both frame her as a New York-born selector with a strong curatorial bent and deep knowledge of dance music history. The Lot Radio residency and appearances at Panorama Bar, Nowadays and Dekmantel Selectors mark her out as part of the current international circuit that still treats house history as living material.
A story
Her guest shows on The Lot Radio won a Mixcloud Online Radio Award. In their own words
