Songpot · Amsterdam Dance Event 2026
DJ Scratch
Brooklyn turntablist and house-to-hip-hop veteran
From Brooklyn, United States
The festival text and official bio both point to a DJ with a battle-trained cut-and-play style, now also moving into house with The Pivot. Expect sharp turntable phrasing, big drums, and a set that can jump from classic hip-hop vocabulary into house music without losing the floor.
More about DJ Scratch
Scratch is tied to late-80s New York hip-hop through EPMD and Jam Master Jay, and his official bio places him in Brooklyn. He’s also the voice behind The DJ Scratch Show on Rock The Bells Radio and runs ScratchVision, so he sits at the intersection of DJ culture, archive, and radio curation.
A story
Scratch’s official bio says he was the third member of EPMD in the 1980s. Source (fan or blog page)
