Desh

Sri Lankan DJ playing emotional progressive house

Based in Romania

Progressive houseHouseDeep house

Deep, grooving house and progressive house with a soft melodic edge. The set should sit in the smoother end of the ADE spectrum: patient builds, emotional lifts, and a focus on flow over brute force.

More about Desh

Udesh Buddika started as a mobile DJ in 2009, moved from Sri Lanka to Romania in 2022, and won the Spinner Disk DJ Competition in that same year. The festival text and programme place him in a cross-community moment between Big Bells Records and Audiosolo, both of which are built around melodic, story-led house rather than hard club music.
