Lazarus leans on house and techno, but his own site makes clear he folds in drum & bass, jazz, electro, soul and show tunes too. LAZPOD points to the way he stitches records together: cosmic disco beside techno, soundtrack detours, and off-centre edits that still work in a club.

More about Damian Lazarus

Born in London and based in Los Angeles since 2009, he is tightly identified with Crosstown Rebels and the Day Zero/Get Lost side of festival culture. His site marks him as one of the key pathfinders in contemporary underground house and techno, with a long A&R history before and after the label years.

A story

He once played a half-speed version of the Oliver! soundtrack track “Reviewing The Situation” to a jubilant DC10 crowd. In their own words
