Songpot · Amsterdam Dance Event 2026

CounterStrain’s lane is syncopated garage rhythm, house swing, and Caribbean percussion, with vocals pushed up front and bass kept heavy. The set is likely to move between UKG roll, Latin-Caribbean cuts, and sturdier house pressure rather than staying in one tempo pocket.

More about CounterStrain

The festival bio says he’s been a fixture in the U.S. rave scene for over 20 years and now lives in San Juan, where he’s tying UK garage to Latin-Caribbean music. He works under the former name DJMD, and the whole pitch is about folding club rhythms from both sides of the Atlantic into one DJ language.
