Candy Coup
Amsterdam DJ pairing club pressure with Caribbean rhythm
Based in Amsterdam, Netherlands
Her sets cut between underground club music and Caribbean, Latin, and African rhythms, so the feel is percussive, elastic, and bass-forward. For ADE she is stepping away from the heavier end of her range into soulful house and ghettotech, which should mean warmer chords, springy drums, and more open swing.
