Songpot · Amsterdam Dance Event 2026
Billy Nasty
Veteran acid house and techno DJ, label runner
Based in London, United Kingdom · From United Kingdom · Plays most in London, Amsterdam, South + East
Record-bag DJing rooted in rare groove, funk and early acid house, then into harder London club pressure. Expect long-form mixing, older 12-inches, and the kind of selection that stays physical rather than shiny.
More about Billy Nasty
The festival text places him in the old London club line from The Brain Club through Final Frontier, Open All Hours, The Drum Club and Strutt, plus a long residency with BLOC. He’s also known for mixing the first Journeys By DJs CD, which matters because that series helped codify the DJ mix as a commercial format.
A story
He was the first DJ to produce a commercially available mix CD, which earned a Guinness record mention. In their own words
