BASHKKA
Munich DJ with New York ballroom heat and politics
Based in Munich, Germany · Plays most in Munich, Berlin, Amsterdam
Her sets lean into tough, flirty club pressure: propulsive house and techno, ballroom edits, sharp vocals and a lot of swing in the drums. The festival copy's 'sensually acerbic' read tracks with the profile of a DJ who knows how to keep a floor moving without smoothing the edges off.
More about BASHKKA
BASHKKA is tied to Munich's Blitz Club and Berghain's Panorama Bar, with the festival bio also stressing a decade in New York and the Black & Brown trans women who shaped her politics and style. She sits in the queer, SWANA-leaning club continuum where ballroom, house and activism overlap.
