Artur Mendes

Boom Festival co-managing director and community builder

Based in Lisbon, Portugal

This is a conference appearance, not a performance. The discussion is about turning first-time attendees into repeat visitors, so the useful frame here is audience-building, storytelling, and festival identity.

More about Artur Mendes

Artur Mendes is co-managing director and partner of Boom Festival and the Being Gathering, with a long background in electronic-music event production dating back to the early 1990s. He also sits on the board of the Portuguese Association of Promoters of Shows, Festivals and Events, so he comes from the policy-and-operations side as much as the creative side.

A story

His background ranges from social-sector work to studies in permaculture, ecovillage design, organic agriculture, creative leadership, design thinking, and copywriting. In their own words
