Aria Marzen
Amsterdam modular live act, improvised techno and texture
Based in Amsterdam, Netherlands · From Netherlands
Fully improvised modular sets: pulsing techno patterns, hard-edged sequencer motion, and shifting texture from patch to patch. The material leans physical and propulsive rather than song-based, with the live rig doing the arrangement in real time. On this ADE bill, expect a club-leaning modular performance rather than a polished DJ mix.
More about Aria Marzen
Aria Marzen is an Amsterdam-based live electronic artist working with modular synthesizers. The artist pages describe the project as fully improvised, with an emphasis on physical momentum and on the overlap between hypnotic techno and experimental electronics. That puts this set squarely in the current Amsterdam modular/live-techno lane that plays well in rooms like Volta.
