Songpot · Amsterdam Dance Event 2026
Akua
Brooklyn-born techno DJ, now based in Berlin.
Based in Berlin, Germany · From United States · Plays most in New York City, Berlin, Amsterdam
Fast, stripped-down techno with hard drum pressure, metallic loops, and a raw U.S. machine-funk feel. Her sets lean into long mixes and after-hours momentum, with references to Detroit, Chicago, and New York rather than glossy polish.
More about Akua
Akua comes out of the Brooklyn underground and is now based in Berlin. Resident Advisor and her agency bio both place her in a line of U.S. techno DJs whose sets are built from 90s archive material and the spirit of Underground Resistance, with her mix work nodding to Jeff Mills, Claude Young, and Jay Denham.
